MALE DETENTION DEPUTY

Starting wage is $18.32 – $20.33 based on training and experience. Full-time union position working either 2nd shift, 2pm-10pm or 3rd shift, 10pm-6am.

This position works weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include supervising inmates in the jail and ensuring the safety and well-being of the inmate population and other jail staff: conducting booking in and release of inmates, maintaining order and safety in the jail; performing clerical duties and basic maintenance of the jail. An interest, schooling or experience in law enforcement or corrections is desired. Minimum qualifications are a High School Diploma or G.E.D and at least one year of general work experience. A pre-employment criminal background check is required.
