The Hayfield softball team beat Pine Island (5-4 overall) 6-1 on the road Wednesday.

Freshman Caitlyn Hendrickson allowed just one run in seven innings of work in the circle for the Vikings (4-5 overall) and Carrie Rutledge went three-for-four with a double and an RBI.
