The Southland softball team had a lead slip away as it lost to La Crescent (4-4 overall) 12-10 on the road Thursday.

The Rebels (0-6 overall, 0-6 Three Rivers) led 7-5 in the fifth, but the Lancers scored five runs in the sixth to go up 12-7.

Chelsey Kasel had a double and four RBIs for Southland.
