Packer tennis team gets a split at home

The Austin boys tennis team lost to Mankato West 5-2 and beat Winona 5-2 in a triangular in Paulson tennis courts Saturday.

Josh Brehmer went 2-0 at No. 2 singles for the Packers (3-6 overall, 2-6 Big Nine) and the No. 2 doubles team of Bryar Flanders and Logan Braaten went 2-0.

“Logan and Bryar continue to get better and are playing some good doubles right now,” Austin head coach Jeff Anderson said. “Josh Brehmer played a very difficult match and found a way to get the win.”
