Ronald Dean Heard Sr., 61, of Faribault, Minnesota, died on Monday, May 7, 2018, at his home.

Ronald Dean, was born on June 22, 1956, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Gerald Heard and Beverly (Davis) Schultz. In 1974, he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He enjoyed creating artwork and playing and singing with his guitar.

He is survived by two children, Jenny (and Rodney) McGee of Shakopee, Minnesota, and Ronald, Jr. (and Stephanie Pineda) of Elgin, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Raven, Jaden and Neavah McGee, Gabriel Pineda, Carmen Heard and Ronald Heard III; great-grandson, Jace McGee; mother, Beverly (and Curtis) Schultz of Owatonna, Minnesota; father, Jerry (and Sue) Heard of Austin; two brothers, Kevin (and Sue) Heard and Dr. Garry (and Mary Jo) Heard, all of Austin; the mother of his children, Lou Heard of Lakeville, Minnesota; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at St. Luke’s Church in Faribault with the Rev. Greg Purchla officiating.
