Wallet stolen from Northeast residence

Police are seeking information regarding a wallet stolen during a burglary on Tuesday.
According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, police were called at 6:32 p.m. on Tuesday to a residence in the 600 block of Eighth Street Northeast. A man told police a camouflage wallet containing his ID and a small amount of cash had been stolen from his bedroom. Police noticed an open window with the screen removed.
Police spoke to several people in the neighborhood who gave varying stories, according to Krueger. Some said they saw white teens in the area, while others said they saw black teens or Hispanic teens in the area. It is unknown if teens were responsible for the burglary.
Police have no suspects at this time.
