Hayfield softball team blows past Goodhue

The Hayfield softball team cruised to a 16-1 win over Goodhue in the Section 1A semifinals in Todd Park Tuesday.
The Vikings (13-7 overall) scored six runs in the top of the first and Kyal Heydt, Kate Kruger and Olivia Matti all homered in the win.
Hayfield, which has played in the last three Minnesota Class A State Tournaments, will play in the Section 1A title game in Todd Park at 5 p.m. Thursday.
