It’s almost time to say goodbye for Austin seniors, as they walk across the stage to start the next chapter of their lives.

As the 2017-2018 school year draws to a close, Austin Public Schools will honor more than 300 graduates at this year’s commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 8 in the Austin High School Knowlton Auditorium.

Live streaming will be on the internet for those who aren’t able to attend or for families wishing to record the ceremony.

This year’s student speakers at the ceremony are students who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher throughout their high school career, and includes: Kellie Baier, Jennifer Boyle, Isaac Christopherson, Jo Ann Ziem La, Anh Hong Phuong Le, Sydney Marsh, Mitchell Mayer, Lilly Nystel, Emily Sayles, Abigail Schammel, Paiton Schwab, Bobbie Lee Thoma-Buschardt, Kristina Thorson, Lina Kim Vu and Tara Watkins.
