Ronald K. Bowe, 80, of Milaca, Minnesota, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, died suddenly on Friday, June 8, 2018.

Ronald was born Oct. 24, 1937, to Kenneth and Hermia (Boysen) Bowe in Austin. Ronald graduated from Austin High School in 1956. He married Audrey Day on June 15, 1957, at Milaca United Methodist Church. He worked at several businesses until 1968, when he started working at Hormel Foods in Austin. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Austin and later at Milaca United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and reading. Ron and his family enjoyed summer vacations at family cabins on Rice Lake by Spooner, Wisconsin, and Tetonka Lake in Waterville, Minnesota. We were truly blessed to call him husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Audrey; children, Sheryl (Gregg) Olson of Aitkin, Minnesota, Steven (Denise) Bowe of Grasston, Minnesota, Keith (Bridget) Bowe of Austin and Karen (Mark) LaDuke of St. Michael, Minnesota; grandchildren, Mindy (Jamen) Lewis, Alan (Tami) Olson, Andrea’ Bowe, Courtney (Darren) Douglas, Kendal Bowe, Nick (Kristen) Bowe, Stephanie (Dan) Swift, Brianna LaDuke (Dillon Pauman) and Josh LaDuke; great-grandchildren, Joely and Andon Lewis, Lillie Douglas, Zoey Bowe, Lauren Bowe, Jada and Jaxon Swift and Tyler and Emily Rohweder; brother, Dennis (Sherrie) Bowe; sister, Cindy (Oren) Hermel; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Hermia Bowe; father and mother-in-law, Ray and Isabelle Day; and sisters-in-law, Janet Schwindt and Susie Quinn.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Milaca United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Private family burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Arrangements are by Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home – Milaca.
