Two Austin juvenile males, ages 13 and 15, were cited for stealing a bottle of vodka Tuesday evening.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to a call at 6:04 p.m. on Tuesday to Star Liquor. An employee said that a teenage male stood outside the store while another entered and grabbed a bottle of vodka. The teens then ran away.

Police found the teens in the vicinity of 10th Drive and Fifth Place Northeast. They were brought back to the store and identified by the employee. The 15-year-old was identified as the one who stole the bottle, which was returned unopened.

Both teens were cited for theft and returned to a parent.

Krueger said the 13-year-old is currently on probation and his probation officer was contacted.
