Carissa Wyant received her Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Luther Seminary in St. Paul.

Wyant is a 1998 graduate of Austin High School and the daughter of Carla Becker-Wyant of Austin. Her dissertation was entitled “Liberating the Imago Dei: An Examination of Jewish and Christian Feminist Biblical Anthropology.” She holds a B.A. from Wellesley College in Comparative Religions and Justice and Peace Studies and a M.A. in Religious Studies from Yale University.

Commencement was held on May 20.
