Kieth Eugene Anderson, 29, of Austin was sentenced on Friday in Mower County District Court to 23 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for felony violation of an order for protection.

Two charges of felony violation of an order for protection and a charge of felony stalking-repeatedly making telephone calls/sending text messages-two or more priors were dismissed at the sentencing as part a plea agreement reached on June 15.

He received credit for 101 days served.

Judge Jeffrey Kritzer issued the sentence.

Court records state that a woman reported Anderson to the police on Feb. 7 for violating an order of protection she had against him. She said he contacted her on Jan. 14, but she didn’t recognize the number. When she inquired who it was, he used a nickname she used to call him. He sent her another message on Feb. 7, but she didn’t respond. She also showed the officer her call log, which showed Anderson had tried to call her several times.

Court records also indicate the woman reported Anderson again on Feb. 11 after he called her four times. She didn’t answer the first two times because the call was from a restricted number. When she answered on the third call, Anderson yelled at her for “putting a warrant out for his arrest.” She hung up and did not answer when he called again. She then received a text message from him saying, “Karma is a (expletive).”
