Curtis G. Goodmanson, 65

Curtis Gilbert Goodmanson was born on May 17, 1953, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Gilbert and Elva (Hilkemeier) Goodmanson. He attended school in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, graduating in 1971. He continued his education, taking auto body and carpentry courses at a local Vo-Tech. Curt worked at various auto body shops in the area, including Shawbacks in Brownsdale, Minnesota, and Bob Smith Auto Body. He later put his carpentry skills to work building decks to garages as well as continuing to farm and milk dairy cattle on the family farm. In 1985, Curt sold the dairy herd and relocated to Owatonna, where he began an 18-year career at Blount. As a young man, Curt belonged to Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church. He enjoyed working on cars and engines, summer league softball, and was a past member of the Moose Lodge. During his illness, Curt spent time studying the Bible. He will be remembered as a man of faith. He believed God put us here to help others, and he did that whenever someone was in need. A special thank you to the staff at Traditions of Owatonna and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care they provided Curt.

Survivors include his brother, Gary (Patricia) Goodmanson of Elk River, Minnesota; a brother-in-law, Larry Quam of Austin; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Judy Quam.
