The county fair finally arrived, something we have waited for each year to move into our fairgrounds. The fair is now over, but with the excitement still running through our veins, we are now looking forward to an even bigger and greater fair.

It’s our own Minnesota State Fair.

We will leave at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27  from the Walmart parking lot. Call 507-438-3946 for more information.

This will be a deluxe motorcoach, air-conditioned  with bathroom facilities. This is open to the public. The cost of $49 which also includes gate admission.

Upcoming trips

Annual Mystery Trip (Tuesday): First clue: “A Great destination you know, Don’t forget the sunglasses, but leave the walkings shoes at home.” Second clue: “Will it be art, history, good food and fun? Come along and join us, you may be the lucky one.”

Guessing will begin as we leave the Walmart parking lot at 7:30 p.m. with a return of about 5:30 p.m.   

Aug. 29: 5 p.m. at our Mower County Senior Center. This is  a document party for the Sept. 15 Riverboat Cruise with our tour representative. Inviting all those on this tour to join us.

Oct. 7: St. Croix  Riverboat Cruise  (Jazz Me on the Water) at  Stillwater. Departs at 9 a.m. and returns at 6 p.m. We will have a great view of the recently opened Expansion Bridge. Due Sept. 11. (Travel office may not be open during the European Cruise.)

Nov. 27-30: Branson Christmas deposit and, or final payment due by Sept. 5.
