Norma Holton, 85

Norma Holton, 85, of Austin, Minnesota, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at Homestead Hospice in Owatonna, Minnesota.
Norma was born Feb. 13, 1933, in Spring Valley, Minnesota, the daughter of Harley and Bessie (McClary) Guy. She graduated from Spring Valley High School. She married Richard W. Holton on Oct. 31, 1952, at the First United Methodist Church in Austin. Norma worked as a secretary at the Hormel Foods Corporation and later at Riverland Community College until her retirement.
The Holton family enjoyed many summers at French Lake in the Faribault, Minnesota, area. Norma liked volunteering at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin and with the American Legion Club. She enjoyed having coffee with her friends, spending time with her family, baking and sending baked goods to her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Holton; daughter, Chris Johnson; two sisters; and one brother.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Mark) McKittrick, Milan, Illinois, and Traci Langstaff, Owatonna; son, Rick (Cindy) Holton, Owensboro, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Maurice (Julie) Guy, Byron, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Tamke officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the chapel. Memorials are preferred to the Homestead Hospice in Owatonna or to the Austin American Legion Club.
