Semi cab catches fire on I-90; No injuries reported

No injuries were reported after a semi cab caught fire on Sunday evening on Interstate 90.
According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to a call at 5:02 p.m. on Sunday of a semi truck fire on the westbound off ramp of the West Oakland Avenue exit on Interstate 90. The driver, a 30-year-old male from Galesville, Wisconsin, said he pulled over on the exit after smelling smoke in the cab. The fire appeared to have started in the storage area of the cab.
The Austin Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire, clearing the scene at 6:23 p.m. The cab suffered extensive damage, though no loss estimate was given.
