Panthers blank Austin girls soccer team

The Austin girls soccer team lost to Rochester Century 4-0 on senior night in Art Has Stadium Thursday.

The Packers (1-12-1 overall, 1-7-1 Big Nine) trailed 3-0 at the half.

“We had more heart was shown tonight than in prior matches, which continues to fuel us towards sections,” Austin head coach Jake Levisen said. “The biggest thing is our passing and movement, as well as our chemistry and heart.

Austin will close out its regular season by hosting Kasson-Mantorville at 3 p.m. Saturday.

“The girls are continuing to work on their weaknesses, as well as further develop strength,” Levisen said. “We need to attack every match with a strong mindset and know how Austin plays.”
