AHS announces September Rotary Students of the Month

Austin High School has announced that Sarah Bachmeier and Emily Eich are September Rotary Students of the Month.

Bachmeier is a member of La Fiera, Austinaires, Go Green Club and has been an American Legion Girls’ State participant, a Big 9 Select Orchestra member and an Academic Scholar.
“I am so grateful for my experience growing up in the Austin Public Schools district,” Bachmeier said. “I have always had wonderful teachers who challenge me, encourage me to ask questions and push me to do my best.”
Bachmeier intends to apply for a four-year university and pursue a degree in biology or nursing.
Eich is a member of the Austinaires, National Honor Society, student council and math league. She has earned a 4.0 grade point average throughout her high school career.

“Between my teachers, my friends and my mother, I have received a lot of love and support to help me succeed and be where I am today,” she added.
Eich plans to attend a four-year university for accounting or education.
Each month the Austin Rotary, in conjunction with Austin Public Schools, selects two students who excel in academics, leadership and/or activities.
