Austin Medical Center’s Military Veteran’s Support Group is now available to offer support to those who’ve been in the military — either in active or non-active duty at any time.

The Military Veteran’s Support Group meets every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology conference room at Austin Medical Center.

The support group’s meetings last approximately one hour and are open to the public.

Tim Lang, licensed psychologist at Austin Medical Center and military veteran, said the support group will be “very beneficial” for anyone who is or has been in the military.

“The goal is to provide intervention and support for military veterans in a therapeutic way,” said Lang. “We want to help any soldier who has been deployed recently or in the past overcome any problems related to being on duty.”

Veterans can attend any of the meetings and support each other at the next Military Veteran’s Support Group session.
