Boys soccer: Packers land No. 4 seed, will play Holy Family on Wednesday

The Austin boys soccer team has earned the No. 4 seed in the Minnesota Class A State Boys Soccer Tournament and the Packers will open play against No. 5 seeded Holy Family in Prior Lake High School at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Austin (16-2 overall) will be playing in its third state tournament in school history and the Packers finished third in last year’s state tournament.
Holy Family (17-2 overall) advanced to state on a 1-0 win over Waconia.
Austin senior Kevin Ortiz was named first-team All-State recently and he was a Mr. Soccer finalist and senior Victor Velazquez was named second team All-State.
Totino-Grace’s Herbert Endely was named 2018 Class A Mr. Soccer.
