Cristian Andres Wilborn, 19, of Austin was charged on Tuesday in Mower County District Court with felony first-degree drugs-sale of 17 grams or more of methamphetamine.

According to the court complaint, a confidential reliable informant (CRI) met with narcotics detectives on Dec. 21, 2017, about purchasing an ounce of methamphetamine from Patricia Jane Boonreuang.

The CRI and his vehicle were searched and he was provided with buy money and an audio transmitter. Police then monitored him as he drove to the parking lot of Star Liquor. Police then observed a 1998 Ford Taurus park next to the CRI’s vehicle.

The CRI then got into the back seat of the Ford and purchased methamphetamine from Boonreuang, the complaint said. He then met with police at a predetermined location and surrendered 28.177 grams of methamphetamine. The CRI reported that Boonreuang was accompanied by a male, later identified as Wilborn. The CRI said he gave Boonreuang the money and Wilborn handed him the drugs.

Boonreuang was arrested and charged in September with felony first-degree sales of 17 grams or more of methamphetamine, to which she has pled not guilty. Wilborn’s whereabouts were unknown and an arrest warrant was issued on Sept. 5. He was arrested Monday evening.

A review of Wilborn’s criminal record shows prior convictions for possession of drug paraphernalia and juvenile offenses for assault. He is also awaiting sentencing for a felony fifth-degree drug conviction.

Wilborn will appear in court again on Nov. 5.
