Austin grad Madison Overby took 13th place at the 6K run in the Summit League Cross Country Championships t Miracle Hills Golf Course in Nebraska Oct. 27.

Overby, who is running for the University of North Dakota, finished the race in a time of 21:59.88.

Overby, a sophomore, earned All-Summit League honors with her finish.

Southland grad Peter Torkelson, who is a sophomore at Hawkeye Community College in Iowa, took second place overall with a time of 26:51 in the Trent Smith cross country invite in Mason City Oct. 12.

VOLLEYBALL

Hayfield grad Savanna Cordle had eight kills and eight block assists and Austin grad Kelsey Sederquest added eight digs as Waldorf University (6-19 overall) beat Mayville State by scores of 26-24, 27-25, 25-12 on Oct. 27.

Hayfield grad Maggie Streightiff has one kill in limited playing time for the University of Upper Iowa (17-9 overall) this season.

Hayfield grad Carrie Rutledge had 11 kills and 10 digs and Hayfield grad Lexi Dudycha had four kills and eight digs for RCTC as the Yellowjackets (20-8 overall) beat Minnesota State-Fergus Falls by scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-21 Oct. 27.

FOOTBALL

Blooming Prairie John Rumpza has completed all four of his passes for 85 yards and a TD this seasons for Winona State University (6-3 overall).
