A limited number of tickets are still available for the Austin VFW Post 1216’s fifth Czech It Out benefit dinner this Saturday.

Proceeds from this benefit go to supporting various VFW-sponsored activities, including the local Disabled American Veterans chapter and the VFW Auxiliary.

The dinner is a traditional Czech meal consisting of roast pork, potato dumplings, gravy, corn, sauerkraut, kolaches and “Czech” chocolate cake. Dinner will be served from 5-7:30 p.m.

During the dinner, numerous door prizes will be given away, with others auctioned off. A grand prize drawing again will be done for a Hy-Vee free shopping card in which the winner could collect up to $1,000 in merchandise (some restrictions apply).

No dinner tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the VFW club in Austin. For more information, call the VFW at 507-433-6039.
