The deadline for Youth Dome Baseball was on Dec. 31.

If you are still interested, you should call the office to check on availability. 

Dome Baseball will begin on Monday, Jan. 7, for those 7 to 9 years old and Tuesday, Jan. 8, for those 10 to 12 years old.

This pitching machine league is designed for skill development and live game experience. Our office number is 507-433-1881.

Did you miss the Curling League sign up?  Stop in our office ASAP!

Curling is held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays at Packer Arena. League runs through Feb. 20. The fee is $90 per player.

We encourage a four-person team, however, singles are welcome and you will be placed with others.  Layer up and wear loose fitting pants so you can stretch easily, bring gloves and carry a clean pair of rubber-soled shoes. 

Why should you try it?  It can be done by both men and women, the rules are easy to learn, it is good for your health and it is fun.

Dome

The following information on the Packer Dome was taken from the Austin Public School web page.

We hope this helps you plan some “get out of the cold” activities and answer some of your questions.

The dome covers the turf at Art Hass Stadium. Amenities include an indoor walking area, batting cages and fields for team sports.

The dome is open to the general public for walking/running from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays at no cost.

The facility is also available for rental seven days a week. For more information on dome rental, contact Ben Schuller at 507-460-1927 or email at benjamin.schuller@austin.k12.mn.us.

The Packer Dome is an enclosed area that is climate controlled to about 55 degrees.

The Austin Bruins are home tonight when they host Brookings as well as Jan. 11-12 when they host Aberdeen.Game time is 7:05 p.m.

The Austin Packer girls will host Faribault today at noon.

The Packer boys host Dodge County with junior varsity at 5 p.m. and varsity at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.  They host Northfield on Jan. 10 with games at 5:30 p.m.  and 7:15 p.m.
