Wempner nets game-winner as Packers down JM

The Austin boys hockey team used a third period surge to snap a nine-game losing streak and beat Rochester John Marshall (4-9-1 overall, 1-5-1 Big Nine) 4-3 in Rochester Saturday.
Nick Dunlap scored a short handed goal early in the third period to tie the game at 3-3 and Riley Wempner scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Dunlap with 1:54 left in the third.
Garrett Schaeffer and Kaleb Ree each scored in the first four minutes to give the Packers a 2-0 lead, but the Rockets scored the next three goals to take the lead.
Ryan Flanders had 31 saves for the Packers (3-10 overall, 2-7 Big Nine).
