Minnesota State Fair announces two more acts

The Minnesota State Fair has announced a pair of new acts for its 2019 Grandstand Concert Series.

Musical legend Lionel Richie will play at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 30 and The Current’s Music On-a-Stick featuring Brandi Carlile takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 31.

Richie, known for hits like “Lady” and “All Night Long,” and who is also known for his time in The Commodores, is one of only two songwriters in history to have No. 1 records for nine consecutive years.

He has also sold 100 million albums worldwide.

Tickets are $57 and $67, all reserved seating, and are on sale now.

Carlile is an American folk rock and Americana singer songwriter with seven albums to her name, including her critically acclaimed major label debut “Brandi Carlile.”

Tickets for The Current’s Music On-a-Stick are $51, $66 and $76, all reserved seating and are also on sale now.
