Four award-winning Minnesota authors will tour SELCO region libraries this spring.
A wide-ranging selection of styles and genres will be featured among the visits.
Children’s author David LaRochelle will be familiar to people who attended the Once Upon a Reader programs in 2015, and people may recognize author Nicole Helget for her most recent middle grade book, “The End of the Wild” or for her adult works such as “Stillwater.” Author and photographer Doug Ohman’s award-winning “Minnesota Byways” series featuring barns, cabins, and even libraries of Minnesota, has been popular with readers.
William Kent Krueger is always a top choice in this region thanks to his Cork O’Connor series of novels.
“This tour celebrates Minnesota authors and will allow southeast Minnesota library users to experience a variety of literature in their local library,” said SELCO Legacy Project Coordinator Amy Nelson in a press release, “We are grateful to be able to provide opportunities for library users of all ages to hear stories, talk about the writing process, and relive the history of the state through this tour.”
All programs will be held at the public library unless otherwise indicated, and all programs are free and open to the public.
