To the Editor:

During 2018, the Mower County Humane Society rescued 231 cats and 129 dogs. This past year, we had 227 cat adoptions and 142 dog adoptions from our rescue group.

We would like to publicly recognize a few key partners in our area who help all year long to make sure the Mower County Humane Society is successful.

Thank you to all our local businesses who donate and assist at every fundraiser conducted on behalf of MCHS.  We know you get hit hard by other groups too, so we are grateful for your support. (Remember, Mower County, SUPPORT our businesses by shopping locally — they give back to us many times!)
