Youth wanting to submit entries into the 21st annual Wildlife Forever, State-Fish Art Contest, have just a few more days to send in their art.
Entries must be postmarked by Sunday, March 31.
The State-Fish Art Contest, sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, uses art to ignite the imagination of youth while teaching about fish and aquatic conservation. Students will compete for state and national recognition, trophies and prizes.
State and national contest judging will occur in April and winners will be announced in May on the website and the official State-Fish Art Contest Facebook page. Students are reminded to review the guidelines for entries at www.StateFishArt.org. All artwork must be postmarked by Sunday.
To enter, young artists create an original illustration of any official state-fish and written words detailing its behavior, habitat, and efforts to conserve it. Entries are categorized in four grade levels: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12.
