NHL is calling for two former Austin Bruins

A pair of former Austin Bruins are headed to the NHL.
Jake Kielly and Nico Sturm, who both played their college hockey at Clarkson University have signed professional hockey contracts with National Hockey League organizations, foregoing their final season of NCAA play, according to Clarkson’s Web Site.
Kielly, a goalie, signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Vancouver Canucks and Sturm, a center, signed a one-year, entry-level contract with the Minnesota Wild for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
“Jake and Nico have been fantastic members of our program the past three years,” said Head Coach Casey Jones on a story Clarkson’s Web Site.. “They are tremendous players, competitors and leaders. They excelled in their play and in the classroom, and were outstanding representatives of Clarkson University in the community. Although I am sorry to see them leave, I am excited for their opportunities at the professional level. We wish nothing but the best for Jake and Nico.”
Kielly, who is from Eden Prairie, had a career record of 24-9 overall for the Bruins in the 2014-2015 season.
Sturm, a Hobey Baker Award Finalist from Augsburg, Germany, finished with 11 goals and 30 assists in 53 games in the 2014-2015 season.
