Get to Know: Austin golfer Olivia Krause

Olivia Krause is a senior golfer for the Packers.
Q: What sports do you compete in?
A: Tennis and golf.
Q: How did you originally get into golf?
A: By playing with my cousins, and they would talk about playing in the summer.
Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: My favorite sports memory is getting to play my last home meet of tenth grade on varsity.
Q: What have you learned from sports?
A: I have learned to work hard, and never give up.
Q: What is the hardest part about sports?
A: The hardest part about sports is probably learning different concepts, and trying to remember what to do with them.
Q: How do you keep your focus when competing?
A: I try to forget everything, and just focus on what I need to do to get the lowest score possible.
Q: Who is your biggest sports role model and why?
A: My biggest sports role model is Lexi Thompson, because she set a new record as the youngest winner in the LPGA tournament. This has inspired me to set new records when playing golf.
Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?
A: “Modern Family.”
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: History.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: Interior Design.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Spaghetti.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: To go to Riverland for two years for my generals, then transfer to a four year college, and become an interior designer.
Q: What’s a fun fact about you or hobby you enjoy most people don’t know about?
A: I like to do puzzles.
Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be?
A: Invisibility.
