Diane B. Johnson, 62, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at her home in Rochester.

Diane Beverly King was born on April 8, 1957, in Austin, Minnesota, to William and Ilene (Sorenson) King. She grew up in Minnesota and was baptized at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Austin. Diane graduated from Austin High School in 1975. Following high school, she started a family

with Donald DeFor and the couple got married on Oct. 25, 1975, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The couple later divorced. On June 23, 1986, Diane married Charles “Skip” Johnson at Yellowstone National Park. They later divorced. Diane worked as a caretaker in a nursing home and later worked as a housekeeper at Kahler Grand Hotel. In 1987, she moved to Florida, where she worked as a county clerk. In 1995, she moved back to Minnesota. The time she enjoyed most was crafting, scrap booking, baking, reading and fishing. Diane will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her mother, Ilene King of Austin; son, Daniel DeFor of Austin; brothers, William (Sheila Hastings) King of Austin and David King of Austin; special friend, Anthony (Custer) Kelly of Rochester; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William King.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019, at First United Methodist Church, 204 First Ave. NW, Austin, MN 55912, with the Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Interment will be in Little Cedar Cemetery in Adams, Minnesota.
