Strides give to Hormel Institute

The 2019 Strides for a Cure 5K raised $1,300 for cancer research and was donated to The Hormel Institute UMN this week.
Strides for a Cure has now raised over $20,000 to support innovative cancer research at The Hormel Institute since it began four years ago.
Austin High School’s Youth Leadership group, led by Emily Hovland, presented the check to Dr. Edward “Ted” Hinchcliffe, head of the Cellular Dynamics lab and Brenna Gerhart, Development Associate.
The fourth annual event was organized by Youth Leadership, a student service group at Austin High School. Strides for a Cure is a run/walk for breast cancer research and all proceeds are donated to The Hormel Institute’s Breast Cancer Research Fund.
