Anthony was born on July 6, 1997, in Austin, Minnesota, to Brian and Lois (Amundson) Nelson. He grew up in Blooming Prairie and graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 2016.Anthony loved growing up in Blooming Prairie and especially enjoyed being involved in many sports and activities while in school. After graduation and being an Awesome Blossom all his life, he went on to become a Royal at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Bethel quickly became his passion and he developed so many deep friendships while exploring the big Twin Cities! When he wasn’t studying, leading a Bible study on campus or spending time with his friends, he could be found hanging in his hammock reading a book, riding his bike on the many trails in the area or creating many culinary creations. He was entering his senior year this fall, ready to complete his degree in accounting and finance so he could begin the job he had just accepted for Fall 2020. Anthony was a vibrant young man with a zeal for life and adventure. He loved to travel and fish with his dad in Canada. Anthony loved his friends and family with a love so big that everyone that knew him could feel their importance.
Anthony remains loved by his parents, Brian and Lois Nelson of Blooming Prairie; sisters, Alicia (Derek) Levno of Delano, Minnesota, and Lynnae Nelson of Mankato, Minnesota; his precious niece and nephew, Maren and Owen Levno; and grandparents, Mervin Nelson of Blooming Prairie and Betty and Bob Ronningen of Rochester, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernice Nelson and Roger Amundson.
