Vanessa Lee Schrandt and Christopher Grant Larson, both of Austin, announce their engagement.

Vanessa is the daughter of Brian and Sherri Schrandt of Austin and Christopher is the son of Pastor Gordon and Nancy Larson of Austin.

Both Christopher and Vanessa are 1999 graduates of Austin High School.

Vanessa is a 2003 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College with a bachelor of arts degree in accounting.

Chris is a 2003 graduate of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Wis., with a bachelor of music degree in music education with vocal emphasis.

The couple will be married at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2003, at Grace Baptist Church in Austin. The reception will be held at St. Edward's Corcoran Center.

Katherine M. Gundaker

Daniel J. Hoffman

Robert and Isabelle Gundaker of Moorestown, N.J., announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Marie, to Daniel Joseph Hoffman of Norfolk, Va. He is the son of James and Pamela Hoffman of Austin.

Katherine is a graduate of Moorestown High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Holy Cross College, Worcester, Mass. She is an account manager at Proctor and Gamble Pharmaceuticals and attends Villanova University, Villanova, Pa.

Daniel is a graduate of St. Joseph's High School, Greenville, Miss., and attended Mississippi State University. He is a petty officer 3rd class, serving with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, homeported in Norfolk, Va.

The couple will be married in August.
