The three people in the home at the time were treated for injuries related to the fire.

As of Monday morning, there was no indication of cause, but the State Fire Marshal’s office was on scene Saturday morning to assist with the investigation. A cause won’t be determined until they are able to speak with people from the home.

The home is a total loss and the garage was also damaged in the fire. McCoy placed the damage estimate at about $40,000.

The Brownsdale Fire Department was called in for mutual aid in the form of manpower. The Austin Police Department also responded.
