Bruins score late, but fall to Minot in a shootout

The Austin Bruins scored a late goal to force an extra session, but they couldn’t cash in on the opportunity as they lost to the Minot Minotauros (16-8-2-1 overall) 3-2 in Riverside Arena Saturday.

Ben Almquist scored his 17th goal of the season with just one second remaining in the third period for Austin, but the Bruins went 0-for-3 in the shootout.

Andranik Armstrong-Kingkade scored the only shootout goal in three attempts for Minot.

Brett Miller stopped 27 of 29 shots for Austin (14-9-2-3 overall).
