Eight teams played duplicate bridge on Dec. 10.

First place, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters; second place, Larry Crowe and Bill Momsen; third place, Gail and Ray Schmidt; fourth place, John Leisen and Rick Stroup

Ten teams played on Dec. 11.

First place, Tom Flaherty and Stan Schultz; second place, Eunice Michaelis and Dave Ring; third place, Larry Crowe and Jim Fisher; fourth place, Edna Knobbe and Cleo Osmondson; fifth place, John Leisen and Rick Stroup

Both sessions are played at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin. Players come from Mason City, Iowa, Adams, Austin, Albert Lea, and Adams. Play starts at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday and noon on Wednesday. The group enjoyed a holiday lunch and Wednesday group did the same on the 18th. Our numbers are decreasing as snowbirds leave for warmer climes after Christmas, yet those who do not have those plans, will continue both Tuesday and Wednesday sessions. Always looking for new players.
