Duplicate bridge was played on Dec. 31. Nine teams vied for places and prizes at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin.

First place, Jim Fisher and Dave Ring; second place, Joyce Crowe and Millie Siever; third place, Tom Flaherty and Stan Schultz; fourth place, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters; fifth place, Larry Crowe and Bill Momsen.

Players came from Mason City, Iowa, Rose Creek, and Austin. As the new year begins we will be on the schedule of 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and noon on Wednesdays. Both sessions are played at the Senior Center in Austin. The Third Street Cafe is open for lunch both days. All bridge players are encouraged to bring a partner and play with these groups.
