Rain cut short the Miller Lite Invitational amateur baseball tournament this weekend, with the Hayfield/Austin Athletics going 1-1.

The A's lost their opener Saturday morning to St. Cloud Orthopedic, 1-0 in eight innings. In the consolation bracket, the Athletics defeated the Milroy Yankees, 6-5.

Sunday's consolation games were canceled because of rain.

Tournament host Green Isle, the top-ranked Class C team in the state, defeated fourth-rated Watkins 4-1 in the championship game.

The Athletics' next game is Wednesday at Dodge Center at 7:30 p.m.
