This Memorial Day is unlike years past. No solemn memorial services or firing of guns in honor of our veterans.
This is a time; however, to honor our veterans and those in service to our country by remembering the freedoms and character of our country that they died to preserve.
We preserve our rights by exercising our rights. By voting and participating in all the activities of citizenship. We do this while respecting the rights of others.
We preserve our heritage by teaching our children that citizenship comes with privileges and responsibilities. We need to model good citizenship and moral character.
Also, remember those men and women battling this pandemic, both here and abroad and may God bless America.
