Over the end of of last week and the beginning of this week, southeastern Minnesota was under a near constant chance of rain with small breaks including partly sunny skies, while Monday and Tuesday brought with them good chances for more severe weather.
It’s a good time to remind people to be mindful of weather conditions as severe weather can develop quickly.
Take the time to be aware of the conditions around you and be sure to pay attention to local news outlets to the get the most up to date conditions around.
Should your area be threatened by severe weather, seek shelter in a basement or enclosed room of the house and stay away from windows.
Generally, rural fire departments, law enforcement and trained storm spotters are dispatched to report on current conditions; however, if you witness threatening storm conditions such as hail, high winds or tornadoes then contact the National Weather Service or area law enforcement.
Remember, stay safe and stay informed when severe weather threatens your area.
