Austin man injured in one-vehicle accident

An Austin man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a Tuesday morning vehicle accident in McLeod County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol accident report, a 2016 Mack semi with trailer was heading northbound on Highway 15 at about 7:02 a.m. on Tuesday when it entered the ditch and rolled near 65th Street in Sumter Township.
The McLeod Sheriff’s Office, Brownton Fire Department and Hutchinson Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
The Semi’s driver, Robert Charles Cook, 68, of Austin was transported to Hutchinson Health Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The report did not indicate the cause of the accident; however, alcohol was not involved.
