Waltham man injured in Wednesday morning accident

A Waltham man sustained non-life threatening injuries after another vehicle collided with his on Wednesday morning in Montrose.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol accident report, a 2004 Kia Sedona was stopped at a stop sign at about 5:41 a.m. on Wednesday at 2378 U.S. Highway 12 in Montrose. At the same time, a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado was heading westbound on Highway 12 when the Kia failed to yield and proceeded through the intersection, causing the two vehicles to collide.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Montrose Fire Department and Ridgeview Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.

The Chevy’s driver, Jeremy William Rohl, 29, of Waltham sustained non-life threatening injuries, but was not transported to the hospital.

The Kia’s driver, Chelsea Alexandra Soland, 35, of Montrose was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The report indicates Soland may have been under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.
