Honoring those who served

It's been termed the unofficial start of summer.
But let's not forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.
It's a time where we have the chance to honor and remember those who have dutifully served our country and fought for its freedoms. It's also a time to recall the sacrifices that many have given for our country, who have enabled us to have our freedoms today.
Locally, there's many opportunities for area residents to attend a memorial service. Even if you're not able to attend one of these services, we encourage residents to take a moment and remember those who have helped us to continue living in freedom.
