With summertime just around the corner, June 1 is a good day to mark on your calendar.
It's an opportunity for residents statewide to visit all the parks in Minnesota without purchasing a state park permit sticker.
Locally, students from LeRoy-Ostrander High School have pitched in with others to help clean up Lake Louise State Park in anticipation of the coming season.
With budget cuts around the corner, there's no guarantee that our state parks will continue to offer its current services. Taking advantage of visiting our state parks will show Minnesota residents what we could be missing if budget cuts go deeper than anticipated.
