Max Deethardt, beloved husband of Rosalie Deethardt (nee Carlson) went home to Heaven on November 14, 2023. He was born March 3, 1932 in South Dakota at the home of Ted and Emily Deethardt with his Aunt Minn attending the birth. In addition to his wife Rosalie, he is survived by his daughter, Donna (John) Stevenson; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Deethardt (nee Hinshaw); sister-in-law, Jane Carlson; granddaughter of the heart, Joy (Erik) Schneider; and great-granddaughters, Hailey and Lydia Schneider. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted Deethardt and Emily (Shook) Deethardt; and his son, Dale Deethardt.
Max served his country in the Army after graduation from college. Following service in the Army, Max worked for George A. Hormel (now Hormel Foods), beginning as a hog buyer and retiring as head of the corporate credit department. His career took the family from Austin, Minnesota to Fremont, Nebraska, Gering, Nebraska and back to Austin, Minnesota. He was a devoted provider and loved his family very much. Music, reading and road trips brought him joy as well. After retirement, Max served on the board of their winter community, (Bibleville, Alamo TX) and on the board of the Rio Grande Bible Ministries.
Max lived a full life. There is an empty place in this world where he once was. We grieve and yet find comfort and even joy knowing that he is now in Heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
