Thumbs up for Austin Online Academy. In February the Austin Online Academy received national recognition during the 2024 Digital Learning Day in February. The Austin Online Academy is an innovative way to meet kids with continued educational opportunities. With the challenges facing teens today, ensuring they have access to continued education is an important part of these kid’s future.
Thumbs up for Pay It Forward. It was another successful reveal and another successful project by this year’s Pay It Forward project. This year’s recipients were the Staver family, specifically Tim Staver. You just feel good coming away from the reveal each year, knowing there’s an organization that makes a difference for families each year.
Thumbs up for tree saving. We’re sublimely happy that Austin Parks, Recreation and Forestry is turning more to a treat first mode of thinking regarding the Emerald Ash Borer presence in Austin. Granted, there will be the loss of trees, both on city and property owner land, but Austin has been a green city for years because of the presence of so many trees and knowing that efforts will be made to try and save some of these trees will continue to lend to Austin’s identity in the future.
