Arthamese “Ardy” Mary Osmundson, 83, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home with family at her side on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Arthamese was born September 28, 1940 in Austin, Minnesota to Edward “Pete” and Mary Arthamese (Feeley) Titus. She graduated in 1959 from Pacelli High School. She worked at Echo Lanes Bowling Alley where she met the love of her life, David Osmundson. Ardy and David were married January 2, 1965 and had three daughters.
Ardy worked at Weyerhauser for 42 years. After retiring, she wanted to keep busy, so with her love of children she became a Day Care provider for four very special families. Due to Covid and health issues, she retired from babysitting at age 80. Always having time for her special families, she was Grandma to all of them.
Ardy’s hobbies included shopping, gambling, baking cookies and cakes, making her special pickles, and spending time with her friends and family which she adored. She was so loved by many and will be sadly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Osmundson in 2013; daughter, Robin “Bobbie” Osmundson in 2016; brothers, David (Marvis) Titus, and Danny Titus; sisters, Jean (Tim) Lynch, and Marilyn (Swede) Sorensen; niece, Elizabeth Lynch; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Margie Osmundson; brothers-in-law, Jerry Osmundson, Lloyd (Cleo) Osmundson, and Pete (Gladys) Osmundson, and sister-in-law, Donis Hukee.
Arthamese is survived by her daughters: Dana (Brian) Hegge and Kristi (Eric) Keath; grandchildren: Courtney (Jordan) Barnes, Mitchel Hegge (Hailee Hart), Hailey Osmundson (Mike Williamson), Erika Keath (Erick Spear), Cullen Keath, Carlie Hegge (Dylan Johnson); great grandchildren: Casper Hegge, Amelia Barnes, and Jett Williamson; sister: Joan (Dale) Anderson; brother: LuVerne (Jean) Titus; special niece: Dawn (Ron) Olson; sisters-in-law: Diane (Robert) Smith, Donna Osmundson, and Diane Titus; brother-in-law: Bernie Hukee; and many special nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 6th at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Thien Nguyen officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
