In honor of Independence Day, the Meadow Greens – Ramsey Ladies Golf Club played a round of Red, White and Blue on Wednesday. Ribbons of the three colors were randomly tied onto the bottom of the flag sticks to indicate whose score would be used for the three-person team score. Players did not know whose hole it was until reaching the green. Handicaps were taken off of each hole.
Winners on the front nine with a score of 38 were Joy Blaser and Nancy Wesely (as they only had two players one scored for the vacant color on the front nine and the other player on the back nine; a tie was broken by handicap hole). On the back nine, the team of Sheila Cotter, Sandy Davis, and Jan Waller took the win with a score of 38.
Patty Shatek had the only chip-in of the day on hole No. 7.
